Hello, cuties! How are you all?! Today I'm going to tell you about a wonderful clothing store that - for my local blog readers - may have been hiding right under your nose! Free Bird Clothing is one of the hottest fashion outlets in Muskego, yet it is one of the least talked about.
In this post, I'm going to walk you through the store, show you what Free Bird has to offer, and give you some possible outfit ideas you could walk out with!
Let's get started!
You know what they say: the love is in the details!
Look at those textiles!
Their array of necklaces, bracelets, and rings is incredibly extensive, if you haven't already noticed.
Now onto the outfits!
Let's start with the undergarments, shall we? Free Bird has an assortment of bralettes that you can wear underneath their gorgeous clothing. Or by themselves, if you're feeling crazy!
This dress is absolutely stunning. Rather than a standard circle hemline, the dress falls into a sort of square shape. It's quite lovely, and I am obsessed with the pattern! This would look great with brown or gold-toned accessories.
For a casual day out, Free Bird has a wide variety of shorts and tank tops. Pair the outfit with some sandals and a beaded bracelet and you're ready to go!
This outfit would be great for a concert or a day-long festival. It's light and breezy, yet the accessories still give it a fun, made-up look. And by golly, would it be comfortable!
This last look is one of my favorites. I admit that it might be a little hard to wear the candle, but I'm sure you could figure something out! You can't exactly tell by the picture, but the back of the dress is tied together with a string in an almost corset-like style. It looks wonderful, and I believe the flower necklace and/or earrings would go great with the pattern of the dress! Also yes, the candle is for sale, and it smells fantastic.
I'd highly recommend you check out Free Bird Clothing! They have something for people of all ages, and every piece they have is gorgeous and incredibly unique. If you live in Wisconsin but are nowhere near Muskego, don't worry; Free Bird has an even bigger store in Milwaukee! Now go! Shop 'til you drop!

I hope you enjoyed today's post! I'd like to thank Becky at the Muskego store for helping me put together the outfits. Let me know if you'd like to see more of this kind of content in the future!
I love you all and I will speak to you soon! Until next time,
Hello, pretty babies! If you're a student that lives anywhere north of the equator, the summer holiday is upon you. 3 months away from a stress-filled school will be great for everybody, but what are we to do with this time? Today I'm going to give you some ideas on how to make the most out of your summer.
I'm going to start with the "boring" activities and work my way down to the more fun things. All of the activities in this post - although some may not seem like the most fun - are aimed to help you clear your mind, experience new things, get you organized, and have fun while doing it.
I know, I'm sorry I sound like your mother; however, you really should listen to me on this! Everyone knows that school turns you into a frazzled, disorganized mess, especially during exams. The last thing you wanna do is carry on that stress into your vacation! Take the first couple days of your summer holiday to clean out your room, which by extension, clears out your mind. This way, you'll have clean and organized room to come back to after a long day of fun!
Picnics are freaking wonderful; they combine the joy of eating with the greatness of the outdoors! This is an awesome activity to do with your friends or significant other. If each person brings a dish or two, you could have a summery afternoon feast! Make your picnic a day-long event by packing some card/lawn games. Don't forget some music!
Round up some of your best buds and go to a festival! If you're not a big fan of wild crowds and mosh pits, opt for an art festival instead! There are SO many different types of festivals that you could go to.
Camping is a great way to unwind. It's also a great way to unplug from the online world and reconnect with reality. If you go with good company, you'll have no desire to check your phone anyway; everyone you need will be right there with you!
The ultimate summer activity. Gather up your loved one(s), get in a car, and go to a city you've never been to before. Have a picnic! Go for a swim! Hit up a festival! Go camping! The possibilities are absolutely endless. Make sure to stop at a service station beforehand to pick up some snacks and fuel up your car. Also, make sure to bring an AUX cord and an awesome playlist!
That's it for today's post! If you partake in any of these summer activities, make sure to post about it on Instagram and tag me, @jordanndaniielle!
Here's to Summer, a time of adventure, recovery, and self discovery.
Hello, you gorgeous bunch! You heard it right. I, Jordan Lampe, have gotten a tattoo. On May 18th, my parents and I drove to Michigan for a family tattoo session. Today I'm going to tell you all about it!
Check out the YouTube video of us getting tatted!
Before you continue on with this post, I ask that you go into it with an open mind. I know that tattoos aren't for everyone, but I stand by my choices and I am absolutely in love with my gorgeous piece of artwork. I hope you are too!
THE 'COMING ABOUTS'
About 3 months ago, I spontaneously came up with the idea of getting a tattoo for my 17th birthday. (Yes, my 17th birthday. My parents were cool enough to let me get tattooed a year early!) That night, I spent hours and hours scouring the Internet for tattoo inspiration. I had a specific style in mind, but I wasn't seeing anything that matched the style or sparked my interest. Then the idea came to me. On the toilet, actually.
A HOT AIR BALLOON!
I have no clue where the idea came from, but the more I thought about it, the more I loved it.
Brief Interjection:
I'm not a person that thinks every tattoo a person gets has to have a meaning. I believe that as long as the person loves it, it's a good piece of art, and they want it on their body forever, they should go for it. However, I believe having a meaning behind a tattoo makes it a lot easier to be accepted by society.
When I started thinking about possible meanings for the hot air balloon, I was overwhelmed by how well the balloon correlated with my life. I'll get more into its symbolism farther along in the post!
It was then that I started sketching my future tattoo.
THE PROCESS
Getting tattooed as a minor is harder than one would think, which is probably a good thing for most people! In the state where I live, it is illegal for minors to get inked, despite their parents' consent or approval. For this reason, we had to travel to the nearest legal state of Michigan.
I spent days searching for the closest (and best) tattoo shops in Michigan and was recommended to check out the Love Tattoo shop. The shop had rave reviews on every website and app imaginable, so I knew I had to check it out! Upon looking through their incredible artists' portfolios, I took a particular liking to an artist by the name of Tony Putt. Out of all the artists at this shop, it looked like the work Tony specialized in would be best suited for my style of tattoo.
I reached out to Tony via email. Usually tattoo artists do face-to-face consultations with their clients before tattooing them, but seeing how I live in a different state, this was not a very feasible option. For this reason, we ended up using emails as our consultations. We talked about the size of the tattoo, the detailing, the placement, etc. He was extremely lovely throughout the whole process!
We set up a session for Wednesday, May 18th at 3:00pm.
BEFORE
I made sure I was very informed on what goes into a tattoo before getting one myself. I watched numerous videos of people getting tattooed, artists talking about tattooing people, how to take care of your tattoo afterwards, etc. I was very educated going into it! The only thing I was unsure about was the amount of pain I'd be in.
After watching countless YouTube videos and talking to several people about the pain of getting their tattoos, I had no idea what to expect. Some people said the pain feels like an itch, while other stories I heard involved people passing out because of the pain. What was I supposed to do with that information?! Because of these mixed experiences, I had no way of preparing for the pain. I just prepped for the worst and made sure to practice deep breathing and selective attention!
Physically, I made sure to stay fed and hydrated in order to avoid any potential faintage. The leading causes of fainting are lack of food and lack of water, so I loaded up on both! I also made sure to avoid blood-thinning medication within the 24 hours before getting the tattoo. I did this because taking blood thinners could cause someone to bleed more during the tattoo. No one wants that!
Also, I made sure to put on lots of deodorant.
DURING
Let me start by saying that the tattooing process didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. If I had to give the pain an overall rating, I would say it was about a 6.8 out of 10. The inner half of my thigh and the lower half of the tattoo (going towards my knee) hurt the most. In order to push through the pain, I simply took deep breaths!
Talking to Tony helped distract me from the pain. I learned that we have a lot of mutual interests! It also helped that the walls of his tattoo room were decorated with gorgeous artwork that Tony created himself!
The tattoo took a little over an hour to complete.
AFTER
Tattoos require some serious care after you get them. For the first 2 days after my 'inking', I had to wash my tattoo 3 times a day with an antibacterial soap and follow it up with a healing ointment. As of today, I only have to wash the tattoo twice a day (morning and night) and follow it up with a regular ol' lotion. It's important for people with new tattoos to switch from an ointment to a lotion because tattoos need oxygen to heal. Continuing to use ointment would deprive your tattoo of too much oxygen.
MEANING
As I mentioned earlier in this post, this tattoo has a lot of meaning(s) to me. The first 'lesson' I found within this piece is that if you can float across the sky, in a basket, attached to a balloon, you can do anything. Not only does it represent endless possibilities, but it also represents my love for travel, my sense of adventure, wanderlust, freedom (both physically and mentally), and hopefully my creativity. When I look at this tattoo, it gives me the motivation I need to go out and achieve my freakin' dreams! To do something with my life! To explore! To get out of my comfort zone!
ADVICE
- Make sure you love the piece before you get it on you for eternity.
- Find an artist that specializes in the style of tattoo you want. Yes, tattoo artists do different types of work!
- Avoid blood-thinning medication the day before getting your tattoo.
- Eat something beforehand.
- Drink water!
- Bring/create distractions, whether that'd be talking to your tattoo artist, listening to music, watching Netflix, reading a book, etc.
- Just relax. Seriously. The more you think about being tattooed, the scarier it is. Just remember to breathe! You're going to be okay!
This is my tattoo! I'd like to thank Tony Putt from the Love Tattoo shop for giving me such a wonderful piece of art. It was a great experience that I will remember for the rest of my life! I'd highly recommend Tony and the shop in general.
If you have any further questions about my tattoo, you can leave a comments section below or find me on social media through my Contact tab at the top of this blog!

Hello, my loves! How are you all today?! Before you click off of this post, don't worry: it's not actually about cleaning. Today's post is all about fresh starts, happiness, self worth, and the cleaning out of your mind, spirit, and all that other junk!
A couple of days ago I felt an unusual burst of happiness. I don't know if it's because of the change in season or because I've reached the peak of a metaphorical mountain on my trek of life, but I'm feeling good! I believe the biggest contributor towards my newfound happiness has been the absence of clutter in my life - both figurative and literal. To achieve this mental clarity, I cleaned out my room, my car, and I completely refreshed my social media. Weird combination, right? My goal was to clear out all of the places where I spend most of my time.
Everyone knows that physically being in a clean, organized environment can make you feel better, but what I was extremely surprised about were the positive affects that clearing out my social media accounts had on my wellbeing. Seeing as it's the 21st century, most people essentially live and breathe the Internet. I - unfortunately, at times - am one of those people. Between blogging, YouTubing, and documenting my life through Instagram posts and funny Facebook statuses, I'm on the Internet quite a lot. With said documentation of my life comes a lot of documented memories; some of which could be quite toxic.
STORY TIME
About 6 months ago, I decided to leave my group of friends that I had spent the past 2 years of my life trying to fit in with. Throughout my friendship with these people, I felt like I was constantly being judged for not being as smart or as 'nice' as them, and for being straightforward and honest about things, and for not reading any of the Harry Potter books. I was always being excluded from their gatherings, and I didn't feel like I deserved to be treated like that. After this cutoff not only did I have no friends, but I had also broken up with my ex-boyfriend a couple months later. (He would've rather been liked by my old group of friends than be with me, even after he knew how crappily they treated me and how they made me feel.) Oh well, I couldn't be happier now with the choices I've made!
Anyway, me being the photographer I am, had social media accounts that were literally LITTERED with pictures of these people. I decided to keep these pictures at first of some ungodly reason, but the more they sat, the more they bugged me. Every time I went online I'd see something that would completely bring me down. The pictures and statuses that once held great memories now only had negative connotations. Referring back to my Mansion Theory post from last March, I concluded that these people honestly weren't worthy of being a part of my life. So why promote them on my social media?
When I realized this, my life turned around. I started getting rid of contacts on my phone, deleting junky pictures on my Instagram (@jordanndaniielle), unfriending people that I'm not friends with in real life, deleting sentimental conversations with people who no longer have a place in my heart, etc. It immediately felt like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. It's been great for me and my phone storage! I deleted over 150 pictures on Instagram. My brain was no longer trapped under a grey cloud of bad memories and heartbreak. I know it sounds crazy, but getting rid of those conversations, pictures, and the negative feelings that came along with them made all the difference. I can now move on with my life without being held back by anything.
The purpose of this post is not simply to tell you how happy I am, but to tell you how you can be happy too. Clear out! Get all of the crap out of your life. Get rid of anything and anyone that is making you unhappy. Life is too short to waste it with crappy people in a crappy place doing crappy things.
I can't tell you how much lighter and happier I feel. Getting rid of all negativity and being in control of my life and emotions is one of the best feelings in the world. I'd highly recommend it!
Hello, my beautiful buddies! About a month ago, my gorgeous friend Becky took me to the gym for the very first time. Much to my surprise, I absolutely fell in love with it! I knew that if I was going to become a full-on gym rat, I needed to start dressing like one. So that's exactly what I did.
Today I'm going to talk you through some of the new workout clothes I bought. Afterwards, I'm going to tell you where I got them from and how much money they costed me. You're going to FREAK!
The first item I picked up was this cute shirt! This colorful piece of fabric is from Danskin. I can't seem to find the name of this shirt on the Danskin website, but it's essentially a light, loose-fitting tank top with decorative split straps. I absolutely love it!
It doesn't look as bright in this picture, but I promise this top super vibrant in person! It suits my skin tone quite well, if I say so myself.
#freetheshoulderblades
As you can tell, this is just the same shirt in a different color.
I noticed the shirts had this little label on them. I'm not sure what it means, but I bet it's good!
The second thing(s) I picked up were these sports bras from Avia! How cool is the pattern?
Once again, this picture doesn't do the vibrancy of this piece justice. In person, it looks like I'm wearing cotton candy. I wasn't sure about the colors of this one, but Becky convinced me to get it. Thank you, Becky!
Look how much detail the back has! Fitness is cool, man.
I got the same bra in grey because of practicality purposes. Plus, I'm a sucker for grey and black.
The last clothing item I picked up was a pair of compression shorts from Avia. I've never had anything like these before!
They're extremely comfortable and make me feel like a professional worker outer! 10/10 from me.
One can't exercise without the appropriate footwear! At least that's what I told myself when purchasing these shoes. These beauties are the Nike Orives.
So sleek, so beautiful. Also, so comfortable! I absolutely love these shoes. They're freakishly light, and they make me feel super 'legit'. 10/10!
Good ol' Nikes.
That's it for today's haul! Now for the moment of truth: all of the items featured in this post - besides the shoes - I got from Walmart, and all 5 clothing items together came out to a total of only $60! That's only $12 per item! Can you believe it?!
I hop you enjoyed today's post, and I'll catch you in April for something SUPER EXCITING!
Hello, everybody! I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day! Today is the first official day of Spring, which means the weather is getting warmer, which means the travel season is upon us! When it gets warm outside, I love to break out of my winter hibernation and go somewhere new and exciting.
If you know me, you'll know that people watching is my favorite hobby. I love to study humans: the way we walk, dress, interact with others, the way we sit, what we eat, etc. When I come across new people in these new and exciting places, I love to secretly take pictures of them. I don't do it to be creepy, I'm just so freakin' fascinated by our species!
Today, I am going to share with you some of the pictures I took of people from over the years, from all over the place. Enjoy, you fellow creeps!
London, England
Street performer talking with a lady. I wonder if anything ever came of them!
You'll have to zoom into this picture to really appreciate it. There are SO MANY PEOPLE!
Tourists
This guy. Look at all the different fashion styles in the background!
Street dancers!
Another zoom-in-to-appreciate picture.
The COOLEST tour bus guide around!
The CUTEST tour bus 'agent' around! He was actually really nice although he looks kind of harsh in this picture. I understand, food is more important.
That kid's face though.
Not gonna lie: I thought this guy was Elton John for a second.
Brighton, England
I took this photo on the Brighton Pier, and it's one of my favorite pictures to this day! Not because of the picture itself, but because of what happened after I took it.
At the time, I thought I was sneakily snapping a picture of some native British teens. When I went into the photo gallery on my camera to check out the picture I just took, I noticed some of the people in the photo were waving at me. When I looked up from my camera screen, all 11 of them were now either waving at me or smiling!
I was so surprised at how cool they were about being photographed by some weird American girl! It made me so happy. I feel like I made some friends that day!
This was a little boy right off of the pier. I believe he was with his grandparents. I'm pretty sure I was making the same face when I was looking at the souvenirs!
My dad chatting up some elders.
Chicago, Illinois
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I really liked this girl's leg tattoo. And look how the light is shining on her! Just beautiful.
Some Pumpkin Patch, Wisconsin
This cute little boy was on a hay ride with his parents. On the other side of the canvas next to him was an announcement that he was going to be an older brother. His parents spent the whole hayride trying to get a good picture of him with the sign, but he kept shuffling around. At least he looked stylish while he did it!
That's it for today's creepy post! Let me now if you'd like to see more pictures of people in the future! I haven't been on that many worldly trips, but hopefully that will change soon and I can take more pictures of strangers!
